227 Katong Durian Fruits
We are starting off this list with the 227 Katong, located along the East Coast Road. More of a store set up than a road side stall, this place also sells many other varieties of fresh fruit, but specializes in their fragrant, freshly plucked durians.
They have an air conditioned space for you to enjoy your selection of durians, as well as a variety of payment options so you can practically come in cashless if you want.
They are famous for their Mao Shan Wang (MSW) or better known as the Musang King, which is sweet and flavorful and sold at a rather reasonable price. You can enjoy your serving with a side of fresh coconut available here, as well as a few durian-flavored snacks just to amp up that durian season cheer. A definite must-visit.

Durian Kaki @ Yishun
Up next, we have the Durian Kaki, situated around Yishun Avenue 9, inside the Junction Nine shopping mall. It’s not every day you see a shop within a mall selling durian, which is usually off limits due to its strong smell, but this shop is quite the exception, making it one of a kind in our list.
The Durian Kaki sells various types of durians like the well-known MSW and also lesser known durians such as the Black Pearl. They sell durians in pre-packed form too, so you know you’re getting your money’s worth. The staff here are also friendly and professional, and may give you recommendations if you are a durian novice.

Combat Durian
With a more tactical-sounding name, the Combat Durian stall along Balestier Road is a shining beacon of fragrant goodness, one that is quite easy to spot thanks to the bright red colors all over the shop. The front of the stall is also heavily lit by bright light bulbs, so chances are slim that anyone looking for this spot would miss it even at just a glance.
They serve various types of durian, all the way from the Mountain Cat to the Red Prawn to the D24, and everything in between. When the season comes, this place is usually packed to the brim with both customers as well as fresh durian.
If you would rather opt for a takeaway, the friendly staff are more than happy to assist by vacuum sealing them on a tray, so no odor may escape and disturb others who are not as fond of the fruit. An overall great durian eating experience.

Durian 36
We are moving on towards Geylang Road, where we will find our next entry; the Durian 36. Durian 36 is one of the most visited Durian stall in Singapore.
With a brightly lit sign of a halved durian and the store name with backlighting, this lightshow of a stall is certainly easy to spot, even in the gloomiest of days. When in season, you will see piles of durians on display, just waiting to be bought and eaten.
They have a wide selection of durians, and whether you want the IOI or the MSW or even the XO, there are more options here than you can wave your sticky, durian-crusted fingers at. The prices are also cheap and the workers are helpful and friendly, which makes the trip here that much more worth it.

Ah Seng Durian
Next on our list is one of the more renowned durian stops in all of Singapore, it is none other than Ah Seng’s Durian stall. Situated along Ghim Moh Road, this stall is fashioned to look a bit like a fast food joint, with lit up pictures of durians on the top for you to admire and choose from while you wait your turn, as this place is often stacked with people.
We recommend you to make reservations for the durians you have in mind ahead of time, as stock is pretty limited and the crowds are plenty, but once you do, you’ll get to enjoy your durians without worry.
They stock MSW from Pahang, and you know it’s the real deal when it is cut up and opened in front of you. The flesh is sweet and bitter, and the seeds are not too big. The quality is also consistent with this place, as they have good connections. A great place to please your durian cravings.

Ah Di Dempsey Durian
Named after a combination of the owner’s name and the location of the stall, Ah Di Dempsey Durian is located along, you guessed it, Dempsey Road! This area is not really a great place for durian as there aren’t as many stalls here, but lucky for us, Ah Di pulls through.
As goes for most durian spots, we recommend you to call in advance to reserve your precious durians, then come as soon as possible to nab them up. They sell durians for a very reasonable price, which is part of the reason why this spot garners a cult following. With varieties such as the MSW, the Butter, the Black Pearl, and many more, there is bound to be a durian for everyone here.
