4. Bistro Year 1963

Bistro Year 1963 is one of the oldest restaurant in this city. You can eat in the lane at between two-storey Dutch heritage building, constructed back in 1673 during the era of Dutch colonisation for the purpose of tax collection fpr Melaka Port.

Taking design cues from pre-war Chinese and colonial architecture, Bistro Year 1963 is now beautifully restored and is well known as the oldest building in Jonker Street.

They serve Western, Peranakan, Chinese and of course, Malaccan delicacies to all of their diners. Besides that, diners can soak up the warm atmosphere while awaiting offerings of pizza, spaghetti, rib-eye steak, lamb shank, beef tenderloin, and tiramisu catering to the modern and traditional taste.

Be there earlier if you really want to try out their dishes as their menus probably all sold out before 7pm. It is a really great place for you to enjoy some drinks here after long hour of shopping along the Jonker street.
