Ta Chong Popiah is one of the famous food in Melaka. The owner of Ta Cheng Popiah uses a generous amount of savory vegetable fillings in their popiah and wrap along with their special own-invented sauce.
However, their popiah would sold out in a short time if you didn’t make a call for reservation or walk in early. Most of the time, buying popiah here need take number before queueing because the customers’ order are way beyond lady boss making speed.

5. Upside Down House

6. Hakka Zhan Restaurant

Their mutton soup is freshly cooked every morning with high quality mutton meat and their secret recipe. 7. Oriental Café
This café located at Jalan Tengkera, near Jonker Street accompany growth of almost every local Melaka people. It is the place where lies many treasured savories that could keep every customers mouth-watering and craving for more. What’s special about their cafe would be their homemade noodle that they sell, the Yee Kiao Mee (fish ball noodles).
Their Yee Kiao Mee has a thin eggy flavor and springy texture. It has 2 variations of it, either soup or dry. For the dry version, they used combined home-invented sauce which is made of black soy sauce, thickened dark soy sauce, and other seasoning as a sauce base to stir with the cooked noodle before serving it. On the other hand, the soup version is served with clear anchovies soup base.
They also put other side dishes such as fish balls, sweet sauce barbecued pork and green bean sprouts in both of these dishes too. This cafe had been one of the Melaka’s old time favourites and is remaining as one of the best local food in Melaka.

8. Huskitory Cafe
As its name suggested, it is a husky territory. Just kidding, it is actually a cafe with husky theme. Located along Jalan Desa Asean, Huskitory Cafe only required a 15 minutes drive away from the center. This cafe could be a heaven for animal lovers, as there is around 20 cute and adorable huskies available for visitor to interact and taking photo with. Visitors can even feed these huskies after purchasing their dog treats which go for RM2 per packet. We bet that you would not be able to resist buying those treats after these huskies looking at you with their soulful eyes right? 9. Tan Kim Hock Product Center
Tan Kim Hock Product Center is a .well-known local brand for Melaka delicacies since year 1930 which contribute much to Melaka tourism. This big company that sell handmade local product like dodol, coconut cookies and gula Melaka and distributes them to the whole Malaysia. Their signature durian flavor dodol and icy cold cendol are a must try food.

Besides the famous nyonya cuisines, satay celup and chicken rice ball, this is another popular restaurant that serve delicious food. Tong Sheng Restaurant’s chefs are experts in preparing seafood cuisines.
Their seafood cuisines never fail to amaze their customers’ taste bud since their opening. Do remember to try out their cheese prawn bee hoon, which is their signature dish. If you observe tables around you, this dish is definitely in the list. The cheese melted into the gravy and slightly diluted. The prawns were fresh and well-cooked too.
