People and Places is located in the industrial area near Taman Mount Austin, a café serving up Melbournian brunch and coffee. Everything from the 2-storey high ceiling to the concrete layout to the drapey plants and succulent furnishings completed the planning of the economic warehouse restaurant theme.

The Dose Coffee located at level 2 of the shop house that serves coffee, brunch and also attractive desserts. This occasional spot offers quite simply your usual cup of java. As the name suggests, this cafe in Malaysia drew inspiration from the mega-popular Parisian cafe of the same name. The lush greenery and vibrant flowers make for a perfect backdrop and the exterior decoration give off a very homely feel.
It will be amazing to sit outdoors on a breezy day to just dine and chill; you’ll almost feel like you’re in a pretty little garden in Paris. When you’re there, you’ll soon spot a vintage bicycle stationed outside the cafe. It looked old and it’s a nice “prop” to have in your OOTD shots. The interior design of the cafe is decent – colourful chairs and chequered tiles helped to spruce up the place.
One great thing about this place is that there’s an all-day breakfast menu, so if you’d like to have an English breakfast at two o’clock in the afternoon, nobody’s stopping you. The Juicy Ham Muffin is a savoury dish, and along with the salad on the side, it will make for a hearty breakfast on a Sunday morning. It looks really good, with the runny eggs resting on top of big ham slices. The taste was pretty good too; it is very satisfying to get a mouthful of the egg, ham, cheese and muffin all together at once.
Then came the Grilled Lamb Rack, which was listed as one of the signature dishes. It is served with fries, broccoli and a secret recipe sauce. The lamb is decent but nothing special.

5. Fifty Trees
Fifty Tree’s interior designs are nothing short of amazing. A pretty open concept, with lesser walls and more windows, made the entire space spacious and clean. The cafe holds lots of seatings for groups of 2, 3 or even more than 6.
Their signature drink is Dare Devil. It is a coffee which placed in a unique glass. It has a sweet beginning, slightly milky yet tasteful. The coffee kicks in more towards the end and just leaves you with a lingering aroma of it. For Tiramisu lovers, the coffee-based homemade Tiramisu is a must try.
It comes with double layers of puffy ladyfingers biscuits, some cream and flavourful layers of cocoa powder, this dessert combination really “lifted you up”.
Lastly, what’s a cafe trip without getting some waffles! There are 3 waffle options on the menu, one vanilla and another with pomegranate and one more is the dark chocolate. The caramelized bananas were indeed the highlights of this dessert! It gave the bananas a crispy layer and the sweet and bitter combination made it really savoury.
