The drive is about 8–9 hours door to door, depending mostly on checkpoint queues. We use Woodlands or Tuas, whichever is faster on the day.
Checkpoints: You normally stay in the car through both checkpoints — just have everyone's passports ready to hand to the officer at the immigration booth.
