This unique theme cafe is popular for the 24 festive drums is introduced at Foon Yew High School, Johor Bahru. It still played until today as a cultural form art. It is founded by two cultural activists, Mr. Lee Sheah Liang and Mr. Choong Hai Ling. This cafe is created in order for all the 24 festive drummers around Malaysia and also Singapore to gather and interact with each others. What makes their 2D coffee or latte special is that they replaced the common drawing art on the milk foam with the word 鼓, which means drum in Chine. For your surprise, you can collect the words 廿四节令鼓 that means 24 Festive Drums in Chinese upon ordering of five cups. Each cup of 2D art latte or coffee would have one Chinese word drew on it.
They are currently offer a super value promotion to their customers since December with only RM3.90 per dish. 2.Dreamliner Airways Café
All of us know that airplane food is not really that taste buds attempting but this ‘airline’ would surely break the stereotype. Need not to getting 30,000 feet away from the ground, Dreamliner Airways Café would provide you an experience of enjoying meals in an aircraft like setting as you imagine yourself away to your dream destinations. This special themed cafe is located just 20 minutes from Woodlands and easily recognizable with its prominent blue-yellow signage mimics an airport’s placed outside the cafe.
The Dreamliner Airways Cafe founded since 2016 is the very first airplane interior-themed café in Malaysia that serving customers with Western, Asian, Japaneses, Korean, local food and so on. With the serving of varieties of cuisine and totally halal ingredient, their food is suitable for a wide range of customers from all the races and cultures and therefore always crowded with customers until the business hours ended.

Any cat lovers or photographers here??? Well, we have a little shout out for you as there is a cat cafe in Johor Bahru located just 5 minutes from the Larkin which is considered easy to access. It is a cafe aimed to provide a relaxing and cosy atmosphere for all cat lovers to enjoy their meal and play with the cats. At the same time, they also would like to share the knowledge on general behavior and characteristics of the cats to their customers.
Upon entering the cats cafe, you will be amazed with their clean and spacious environment and it is just like a huge playground for all the cats. Cat Cafe JB is decorated with natural theme and it is the home of around 10 cats with different breeds. For example the Munchkins, British Shorthair, Bengal, Siamese, American Short Hair, Asian Semi-longhair and Bombay. There is a huge tree structure in the café and sod which allow the cats in the café to enjoy running, climbing and playing around. It would be so de-stress while interacting with these cats or just looking at them playing around. But remember, you cannot bring along any outside pets or cats to this cafe in order to avoid them from fighting with each others.

As you can see from the name of the café, this double storey café is mainly decorated and furnished with scooters and helmets, which are perfectly fit with the racer theme.
Western foods are mainly served in this café and no pork and alcohol are served here as Café Racer by Grillbar is Halal certified. Therefore, Cafe Racer JB has become the landmark of nice western food and good environment for the locals or even Singaporean. Steak Burgers, Braised New Zealand Lamb Shank, Rib Eye Steak are just some of the gratifying menu that Café Racer by Grillbar offers to their customers. Flowers In The Window owns an open kitchen and the setting of this garden cafe is double storey with high ceilings.
One of the signature dish of Flowers In The Window would be the Pan Fried Salmon with Cous-Cous Seafood Salad. This colourful plate of food is elegantly decorated with a piece of pan fried salmon embedding on a bed of ‘flowers’ made of sheared carrots, quail eggs, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, zucchini and walnuts. The texture of the pan fried salmon is buttery soft, and you can even enjoy it alone without adding any sauces.
For the beverage, Flowers In The Window is famous for its wide varieties of herb and spices infused soda drinks. One recommendation of this special cold beverage by the owner of Flowers In The Window would be the Rosemary, Chilli and Lemon soda. It doesn’t look hot despite its icy and translucent appearance, but it taste a little bit adventurous as you can taste the spiciness from the chilli and also sourness from the lemon at once in every refreshing slurp of the soda.
As a perfect after meal desserts, you should go for their Carrot Cake that is moist, dense and chunky in texture. You can even taste the raisins and walnuts that lays inside the piece of carrot cake as well. To offer an additional flavor to the carrot cake, there is a thin layer of cream cheese garnished on top of the cake.
Their Rose Pistachio Cake is also highly recommended, not only its appearance but also its special flavor. The texture of the cake is quite fluffy and it consist of two different colour and flavor of sponge cakes, making it a pretty slice. There is also a thin layer of berries jam sandwiched between the two layer of sponge cake, providing an extra sweetness for the Rose Pistachio Cake. However, the rose bud decoration on top of the cake seemed real and could not be eaten.
