The simple aesthetics of this place may look like just any average Malay styled gerai, but the roti canai sure packs a punch.

While you are here, you must give their Roti Canai a try or two. The roti is so skilfully prepared that they manage to crisp up the outside but leave the inside fluffy and soft, which is the perfect combination of textures for such a simple dish.

The breakfast here is definitely worth travelling for, as they provide a much more varied menu of delicious dishes for you to choose from.

We recommend getting the Mee Sua that this place is so famous for, or otherwise known as thin wheat noodles in soup. The soup is rich and flavourful and the noodles are tender and springy.

7. Kedai Kopi Kheng Juan Hin

The Kedai Kopi Kheng Juan Hin is set somewhere along Jalan Limbongan, approximately five minutes away from the Baba Charlie Nyonya Restaurant. Kheng Juan Hin is a modest Chinese-style coffee shop, which has a rather nostalgic sense of style that is also authentic, since they have changed little over the years.

Similar to our previous entry the Lung Ann, as they are both traditional coffee shops, we recommend getting a breakfast set of Half Boiled Eggs, Toast, as well as a cup of Coffee to properly kick start your day. There is nothing special about the menu items in of themselves, but the years of experience and dedication to the craft makes every dish just plain delicious.

Up next of the list of the breakfast in Melaka, we have the Restoran Toast ‘N’ Toast, located along Jalan Melaka Raya 12 in the Taman Melaka Raya area. We recommend going back to basics, with a humble order of Half Boiled Eggs and Kaya Toast along with a cup of their aromatic coffee.

The varieties of toast are quite large, and if you are not a fan of kaya, there are plenty of other choices to choose from. But as it stands, the classic breakfast have never tasted so good.

The food here steals the entire show, and we recommend you trying their signature Pork Intestine Satay, which is definitely a rare find.
