5. Beach at Punggai, Kota Tinggi

Punggai Beach is not as known as other beach. It is not a beach for swimming but boating and kayaking can be done there. You can also go for jet skiing there or maybe fishing is also available there. The height of Gunung Pulai is 654 meter, located near to Johor Bahru city. Instead of mountain, Gunung Pulai is only consider as a high hill. If you drive there, you can choose to park at the roadside or pay RM2 for private parking.

Upon reaching the entrance of the hill, you will find two pathway. One of it will lead you to the top peak of the hill and another will lead you to a tremendous waterfall. Around the waterfall, you might get to have some picnic site there.

Climbing up the hill will takes you around two hours or less. The pathway up the peak of the hill will be tarred road. 8. Gunung Soga Recreational Forest, Batu Pahat

Gunung Soga Recreational Forest a caravan park in Johor that located 5km away from Batu Pahat. The recreational forest will take you around one and a half hour to reach till the observation tower, which is also the end of the climb. The pathway to the observation tower is not very exhausting. 9. Gunung Ledang Recreational Forest, Tangkak

Gunung Ledang is around 1276 meter high, it is the tallest peak that Johor has. This mountain is dressed with recreational forest and is quite near to the border between Johor state and Malacca state. Upon reaching the gate house of the forest, you will have to pay RM2.00 for car and RM1.00 per person in order to enter and park your vehicle inside.

Gunung Ledang also named as Mount Ophir and has a legend about Princess of Gunung Ledang. You can find a waterfall named Puteri Fall, located near to the entrance of the forest.

Unlike other forest, this Gunung Ledang Recreaational Forest has a total of four trails, which are Asahan Trail, Lagenda Trail, Ayer Panas Trail and Jementah Trail. After passing by the waterfall, it will be the end of your cemented path and stepping into the real hiking pathway.

10. Gunung Panti Recreational Forest, Kota Tinggi

Gunung Panti Recreational Forest located around 12km away from Kota Tinggi. It is 531 meter mountain, suitable for beginner hikers to learn and experience hiking. It should take you not more than 3 hours to finish your way up to the summit.

This forest is one of the primary forest that is not protected after all since the presence of logging there. However, you can still enjoy bird watching here, especially on bird migratory season.

14. Gunung Belumut Recreational Forest, Kluang
