The pick up point to IKEA Tebrau commonly is at the bus stop located in front of KTMB Muzium, which Is also used to be the old Johor Bahru Railway Station. In order to reach this point, you are required to walk through the JB Sentral and head to its entrance facing City Square Mall, go down the escalator and walk down another short distance of 300 meters down the road. The KTMB Muzium is just at the left of it.

3.By Public Bus
If you would like to save some transport fee, you may take a public bus from the bus terminal below JB Sentral to IKEA Tebrau. This could be an alternative transportation method if you missed IKEA Tebrau’s free shutter bus. Upon boarding, you can tell the bus driver that you are going to Tebrau City. The fare is cheap at just RM2.40 per trip too.
Bus 227 will first make its stop at AEON Tebrau City, then only head to its next stop at IKEA Tebrau. Please keep in mind that the area around IKEA Tebrau is all fully fenced up. It would be easier to walk there after dropping at the bus stop near AEON Mall Tebrau City instead of dropping at IKEA Tebrau directly.
Here are some tips on where to alight from Bus 227:
- Make sure that you have Google Map app or Apple Map app installed in your mobile phone.
- Before you cross the boarder, you must locate and mark AEON Tebrau City on the installed map app. This will allow the app to cache the map on your mobile phone device before you are going offline during your travel.
- Launch the map app and show your own location on the map after you board the Bus 227. Need not to be worried that GPS location service does not use any of your mobile data. You can keep your mobile phone on Airplane mode too.
- Ring the bell and alight when the map app shows that you are nearing AEON Mall Tebrau City or IKEA Tebrau.
- Walk up the slope behind the bus stop. You will then be able to see the eye catching blue IKEA building with its yellow coloured IKEA words towards your right.
- Cross the road carefully. Watch out for the vehicles.

They usually charged around RM20 to RM25 per one way trip, from the taxi booth nearby JB Sentral to IKEA Tebrau. Although the fare seems to be fixed, but coming back trip may be more expensive. It may cost you up to RM35 and above, based on the taxi drivers for the charges.
6.By Car / Own Transport
Ikea Tebrau is just a 20-minute drive from the Woodlands Causeway, and is located next to the Aeon Tebrau City shopping mall. Easilly accessible via the Pasir Gudang Expressway and the Seai-Desaru Expressway, IKEA Tebrau do owns more than 1771 parking slots in total of the indoor and outdoor parking. More amazing is that they even offer electric car charging stations in the mall too.
If you decided to drive there, do remember that they will charge you some parking fee if you would like to park your car at their open space car park.
