If a Singapore public holiday such as Hari Raya Puasa is on Saturday, employees are not required to work on Saturdays. It will be entitled to a day off-in-lieu on the following Monday. However, it is not a public holiday for employees but it is a school holiday for students.

Since Hari Raya Puasa falls on Saturday, so by right there is entitled a school holiday on the following Monday. So, students can take an extra day off!
