Occupied with 36 holes of challenging and exciting golf, Starhill Golf and Country Club offers two different types of course; Bintang Course and Bukit Course.
Bintang Course
Enclosed with a length of 6 834, the par 72 Bintang Course offers interesting star-shaped green yard (from the tips), with a range of difficulties for golfers. It was built over a large riverine and swamp areas. Hence, providing challengers with skill testing game. Besides, the challengers will encounter additional challenge posed by man-made ponds which have been dug to add more intrigue to its layout. Each hole on this course has been designed to provide a new and exciting challenge to the golfer. However, the 17th hole will undoubtedly be the most stimulating. This hole is dog-legged to the right at almost 90 degrees with trees measuring 25 meters in height forming the buffer at the turning point of the fairway. Overall, these fairways are wide and generous, but the water still serves as primary course obstacle.
Bukit Course
As its name suggested, bukit (hill) course offers undulating hills to be the course’s main feature. The slopping terrains of the hills result in many uneven lies and other obstacles such as ponds, fairways and green bunkers are ready to swallow up any mishit shot. Besides, it also has more trees and more swamps, bringing the course difficulty to another level. Together they form a formidable layout for the golf enthusiast. Par-72 and measuring 7135 yards (6524 meters) in length, the fairways of this course are planted with Zoysia Matrella while the greens are carpeted with Tifdwarf. The noteworthy feature of this course would be the blue tee. Its formidable distance would be a welcome change for those looking for a real challenge.
